Lula Love&Luta
Lula Love&Luta is the razor-sharp lyricist and potent voice of Good Day FAR. His music perfectly reflects his name: an unyielding balance of radical love and fierce socio-political struggle.
Born in Bahia, Brazil, Lula inherited a rich musical lineage. He is the son of a Chapada Diamantina master instrumentalist (who backed samba and bolero icons like Adoniran Barbosa and Waldick Soriano) and a talented mother from Recôncavo Baiano, a region famous for samba de roda and historic independence revolts. His journey began in childhood alongside his family before advancing to teenage samba & samba-reggae bands across Bahia’s cities and its capital, including the high-energy, epic street carnival of Salvador.
Since moving to London in 2009, Lula has forged a powerful alliance between frontline grassroots activism and explosive, high-impact stage performances. Rocking the mic for leading London samba-reggae forces Batala and Tribo, he has unleashed his raw, defiant energy across iconic UK spaces—from
the streets of Notting Hill Carnival and the London 2012 Olympics at Wembley, to the Maxilla Social Club, the vital community hub that sheltered Grenfell Tower residents during and after the fire. Internationally, Lula’s fiercely independent artistic presence has reached venues across Athens and Amsterdam.
As a dedicated “artivist”, Lula is frequent presence at many London movements for anti-racism, pro-Palestine, workers' rights, and indigenous causes, even drawing legendary political figures like Jeremy Corbyn into his audiences.
His musical creations draw inspiration from an explosive fusion of sources, uniting the revolutionary weight of Rage Against the Machine, the timeless reggae of Bob Marley, the sonic innovation of Gorillaz and BaianaSystem, and the countercultural genius of Novos Baianos and Nação Zumbi.
This distinct artistic perspective was fully realized after recently touring Brazil and collaborating with fantastic artists like the samba royalty Serginho Meriti, DJ Raiz (legendary Ministereo Publico Sound System), DJ Buguinha Dub, Aluminio Roots and the Afoxé Agbara Dudu. Upon returning to London, Lula re-joined forces with his musical brother, Jansen Santana. Their unbreakable bond forms the foundation of Good Day FAR, weaponizing Lula’s bilingual messages through Jansen’s world-class production.

Rita Monteiro
Rita Monteiro, the historic first Black VJ of MTV Brazil, joins forces with our band as our official Agent and Career Counsellor. The legendary television trailblazer, cultural icon, and industry veteran is bringing her vast experience, fierce attitude, and sharp artistic vision to our team.
Rita Monteiro carved her name into Brazilian broadcasting history in the early 1990s. With her undeniable charisma and magnetic presence, she secured her spot as the first Black VJ on MTV Brazil. Sharing the screen with pioneer hosts, she became a symbol of representation, breaking barriers and opening doors for independent musicians, reggae culture, and diverse voices on mainstream television. Long before Pan-African history and Black consciousness entered mainstream public discourse, Rita used her platform to fiercely champion the legacies of civil rights icons like Marcus Garvey, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and others.
Before her TV debut, Rita worked as a waitress and governess, moving from her cultural roots in Madureira, Rio de Janeiro, to conquer the screen in São Paulo. Today, based in the United Kingdom for over two decades, her extraordinary life story is the subject of the upcoming documentary project, Meu Nome é Rita (My Name is Rita), produced and directed by the award-winner cineast Marlon Peterkino.

DJ Raiz
We are thrilled to announce that Good Day FAR is collaborating with DJ Raiz on a track (New Dawn) for our upcoming 5-song EP. Rooted in a powerful Pan-Africanist and anti-colonial vision, this track acts as the creative bridge that united frontman and composer Lula Love&Luta with DJ Raiz. The song blends revolutionary messaging with heavy rhythms, channeling a fierce message of resistance that rises from the scars of colonisation straight into a celebratory new dawn.
Through both his solo project and his work as one of the three DJs driving the renowned Ministereo Público Sound System, DJ Raiz’s career features legendary collaborations with global icons and heavyweights. His expansive musical ecosystem includes projects alongside reggae royalty like Sister Nancy, Jesse Royal, and Derajah, alongside exceptional partnerships with Chico César, Margareth Menezes, DJ KL Jay (legendary Racioanis MCs), Luedji Luna, and the historic Ilê Aiyê.
As a catalyst for the Bahia-to-Jamaica sound connection, it is only fitting to say that the Ministereo Público is the very Raiz (root) that grew and generated the revolutionary band BaianaSystem, a testament to his undeniable impact on the music landscape.

Good Day FAR is proud to feature Free Lion as a key co-producer on three tracks for our upcoming 5-song EP. This brilliant creative alliance was sparked by a long-lasting friendship and deep musical history between Jansen Santana and Free Lion. Together, they have forged a musical landscape where fierce anti-colonial resistance and revolutionary energy melt into a vibrant, unstoppable groove.
Free Lion injects a completely distinct energy into these three tracks, seamlessly weaving cutting-edge synth layers with that unmistakable, soul-stirring Bahia vibe. His trajectory in the music industry is nothing short of legendary, having shared stages and recording studios with titans of Brazilian culture. He boasts a stellar history of collaboration with the maestro Gilberto Gil, the brilliant Jau, and maintains an ongoing, powerhouse artistic partnership with BNegão (Planet Hemp).

Award-winning director and editor Marlon Peterkino brings his sharp cinematic vision to our team, taking the helm as the editor of our upcoming music video, "Fuck That Shit!". A master storyteller with a gift for capturing raw human emotion and rhythm, Peterkino’s addition ensures our latest visual project will be nothing short of explosive.
An established audiovisual powerhouse, Peterkino won Best Editing at the Festival do Rio for Salão de Baile – This is Ballroom. The acclaimed film propelled his work onto the international stage, screening at prestigious global festivals like CPH:DOX and the Sheffield Doc Fest in the UK. He has also edited major TV Globo projects, including the opening sequences for telenovelas Vai Na Fé and Vale Tudo. His versatile career features collaborations with rapper Don L, Sandra Kogut's documentary Preta: Eu Não Ando Só featuring Preta Gil, and four years editing investigative pieces for The Intercept Brasil.
His connection to our family runs deep, entering our creative circle through our Agent and Career Counsellor, Rita Monteiro. This historic connection was born straight from the heart of celebration and deep-rooted friendship shared between our agent Rita Monteiro and Serginho. They share a lifelong bond since the 80's when Rita was a dancer for the first afoxé bloco in Rio, Agbara Dudu, located in the samba famous town Madureira.
During a magical double-birthday party celebrating both of their lives, Rita invited our frontman, Lula, to take the stage and sing. That night, amidst pure musical alchemy and mutual admiration, the seeds for this beautiful collaboration were planted.
